PESHAWAR, June 29: The provincial government has issued the orders of transfers and postings of four political agents with immediate effect.

Sources told Dawn that according to a notification issued by NWFP Governor Iftikhar Hussain Shah on Saturday, Azam Khan, deputy secretary of home and tribal affairs department, has been transferred and posted as political agent of South Waziristan Agency.

Dr Tashfeen, political agent of Orakzai Agency, has been transferred and posted as agent of Kurram Agency in place of Sherzada Khan, who has been posted as political agent of North Waziristan Agency.

Yousuf Khan, director-general of the local government, has been transferred and posted as political agent of Orakzai Agency.

Whereas Ghulam Farooq and Naeemul Haq, political agents of North Waziristan and South Waziristan agencies respectively, were directed to report to the establishment and administration department.

Meanwhile, the government on Saturday also issued the promotion orders of Pervez Akhtar and Aman Gul, superintendent engineers, to the posts of chief engineers.
