DADU, June 26: Dacoits shot dead a villager, Abdul Wahid Depar, and injured two others in the Siddique Depar village, near Faridabad town, on Thursday. Later, police shot dead one of the dacoits and injured another.
Both the injured villagers, Khiyando Depar and Mohammad Hassan Depar, were taken to the CMC Hospital, Larkana.
A heavy contingent of the Mehar police went after the dacoits. They were surrounded at the Manjan village.
The dacoits opened fire on the police. The latter retaliated. A dacoit, Yaqoob Depar, was shot dead while another, Luqman, was injured. Police arrested three dacoits.—Correspondent
