KARACHI, June 25: A book marking the Golden Jubilee of Pakistan cricket was recently published in which Shafiq Ahmed, a graphic artist whose love for the game is insatiable, has paid tribute to 50 of the greatest players produced by this country.

An Artist impression of the Golden Greats of Pakistan Cricket is a joint collaboration of Shafiq and England-based Pakistani cricket writer Qamar Ahmed. Renowned English cricket photographer Patrick Eagar has written the foreword of this 158-page publication.

Being a master of his art, Shafiq has drawn up sketches of a select group of national Test captains, batsmen, all-rounders, spinners, fast bowlers and wicket-keepers.

Qamar has contributed crisped but detailed write-ups of all players featuring in the publication.
