Woman burnt by her former fiance

BAHAWALPUR, June 25: A woman suffered burns on her chest when her former fiance allegedly threw acid on her at Basti Horian here on Wednesday.

Police said Rabia was engaged to Sajid by her mother some time ago, but their engagement did not last long.

On Wednesday, the victim was going with her grandmother to buy medicine when Sajid, along with his two brothers Ahmad and Khuda Bakhsh, chased her and sprinkled acid on them. Rabia suffered burns on chest and was taken to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital in critical condition.

Police have registered a case against the suspects with no arrest so far.
