PESHAWAR, June 23: The paramilitary troops in Kurram Agency have seized 22 Russian missiles from the house of an Afghan refugee in a midnight raid, sources said on Monday.

They said the political administration of Kurram Agency was tipped-off about the big cache of heavy weapons dumped in a goodown at Kharlachi village, one kilometre from Afghanistan.

The Khasadar and Kurram militia forces raided the goodown late Saturday night and recovered 22 Russian-made missiles, they said.

The goodown was owned by a refugee, Mira Jan, who scaped to Afghanistan a few days ago, sources said.

Sources said each missile weiged 15kg.
