Four file papers for by-polls

MANSEHRA, June 21: Four panels of candidates filed their nomination papers on Saturday for the by-elections to the slots of District Nazim and Naib Nazim to be held on July 14.

The group of Senator Mohammad Azam Khan Swati has fielded Mufti Kifayatullah, provincial deputy secretary-general of the JUI-F for the office of District Nazim and Sajjad Ahmad Piracha Nazim of union council Inayatabad for the office of Naib Nazim.  

Another panel comprising Faiz Mohammad Khan and Maulana Nasir for Nazim and Naib Nazim will be a covering panel of Azam Swati group. The former Senator Syed Qasim Shah has come forward as a candidate for the District Nazim with Shujaat Ali Khan of Jamaat-i-Islami as a candidate for the slot of Naib Nazim.

The PML-Q provincial general secretary Sardar Mohammad Yousaf has fielded Syed Ahmad Shah for District Nazim and Syed Abdul Ber Shah Sherazi of the Jamaat-i-Islami for the office of Naib Nazim.
