BAHAWALPUR, June 21: Governor Khalid Maqbool on Saturday laid the foundation stone of the Islamia University’s engineering college building at Baghdadul Jadid campus.

He also visited the physics department and shared a word with the researchers.

Speaking to the faculty members at the science auditorium, he stressed the need to promote research activities and qualitative education. “The universities should improve standards of education and train the students on modern lines,” he iterated.

He said the higher education commission had been extending funds this year for research in universities.
