KARACHI, June 19: Federal Industries Minister Liaquat Ali Khan Jatoi has advised the opposition to pay attention towards the stability of the country, economy and democracy instead of agitating on the Legal Framework Order (LFO).

He was talking to newsmen after attending a presentation here on Thursday.

Deploring the burning of budget copies by the opposition, he said it was an unfortunate event and should not have happened.

“What kind of message the opposition wants to give by burning copies of the budget in the assembly”, he questioned and added that it was not in the interest of the country, its economy and democracy.

Mr Jatoi was of the opinion that the opposition should strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali.

Criticising the opposition’s stance on the LFO, he asked why all of a sudden they had started agitating over the LFO on the instructions of outsiders when they had contested the elections under the LFO and took oath in the national and provincial assemblies and the senate under the same Order.—APP
