Electrocuted

KOHAT, June 18: Power supply to the whole district was suspended here on Tuesday when a passerby stepped onto a live wire and died.

An official of the city complaint office told Dawn that a tree uprooted by strong winds had fallen on an electricity pole causing suspension of power supply to the area. “Unfortunately a man stepped onto a live wire that had come free from the pole and got electrocuted,” he said.

However, the SDO Urban Jaffar Ali said that the tree had fallen on the man, resulting in his death.
