Man killed over old enmity

LARKANA, June 17: A man was shot dead in village Thori Bajar, Kambar taluka on Monday.

Some unidentified gunmen fired upon Paryal Tunio, 46, and fled. The cause behind the murder was stated to be an old dispute.

The Drigh police after registering the cause were investigating.

BLOOD SAMPLES COLLECTED: A team of doctors collected blood samples of 100 under-trial prisoners for conducting HIV tests on Saturday.

The team comprised Dr Ghaus Bakhsh Shaikh, an epidemiologist; Dr Ghulam Shabir Shaikh, in charge, AIDS Control Programme Centre, Larkana; and Dr Nooruddin Qazi, medical officer, Central Prison, Larkana.

Dr Ghaus disclosed that one case of HIV positive was detected.
