PPP to stage demo

ISLAMABAD, June 16: The UK Pakistan People’s Party general council has decided to hold a series of protest demonstrations in London on the eve of Gen Musharraf’s visit to United Kingdom.

A press release issued by PPP media cell here on Monday said that the meeting was presided over by PPP UK president K. M. Shafique.

According to plans hunger strike camps would be set up along the routes Gen Musharraf will take.

In a statement issued here on Monday the PPP United Kingdom President said the object of holding protest demonstrations was to impress upon the international community that Gen Musharraf lacked “legitimacy at home”.
