KARACHI, June 16: Sindh minister for planning and development Syed Shoaib Bukhari on Monday visited the Sindh Government Hospital New Karachi and inspected the on-going construction work at the hospital’s extension block.

The minister directed the concerned officials to ensure timely completion of the project which is being undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs40 million and would be completed in the next two years.

According to a statement, MPA Qamar Mansoor accompanied Shoaib Bukhari.

The scheme was formulated in 1998 but remained unexecuted due to non-availability of funds.

On the directives of the minister, the construction work on the scheme has been initiated after acquiring special funds of Rs8 million from the ADP.—APP
