LTTE, govt talk security

COLOMBO June 16: Sri Lanka Army commanders and Commanders of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam met Vavunathivu, Batticaloa secretariat on Sunday to discuss security issues in the eastern Batticaloa-Amparai district, security sources said.

Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission organized the meeting following tension between the military and the LTTE in the North-eastern areas following the sinking of a LTTE vessel, suspected to be carrying ammunition.
