KARACHI: A. R. Slote passes away

KARACHI, June 13: Abdul Razzak Slote, popularly known in journalist community as A. R. Slote, died of cancer in Houston, US, on Friday.

He leaves behind a son, Sohail, and a daughter, Seema, both are settled in the US.

A. R. Slote was a well-known journalist who worked for different local and international English, Urdu and Gujrati dailies and periodicals.

In his 45-year career in journalism, he served as correspondent of Mumbai Samachar and also represented Chitrali (Urdu) published from Dhaka.

He also worked for Pakistan Observer, Morning News published simultaneously from Dhaka and Karachi, Filmfare of Mumbai and Far East Film News and Film TV Marketing published from Japan.—APP
