HYDERABAD, Jan 26: The Anti-terrorism Court Judge here on Saturday reserved the judgment on the bail applications of the two accused of the double murder case.

Both the accused Zanwar Ghulam Hyder and Zafar Meerani were facing charges in the double murder case along with co-accused, Hakim Ali Zardari, Asif Ali Zardari, Lateef Ansari, Hafees Ansari and others.

Ayaz Hussain Tunio, advocate, who represented Meerani, pointed out before the court that he had filed the bail application on behalf of Zafar Meerani, in Aug last year but it was still pending. He said that the prosecution had failed to make any progress in the trial of the main case.

He asserted that the fourth proviso, pertaining to the condition of lapse of two years on account of statutory delay, had been done away with in the ordinance promulgated by the President.
