British cabinet reshuffled

LONDON, June 12: British Prime Minister Tony Blair shook up his cabinet on Thursday, naming John Reid as his new health minister as controversial lord chancellor (justice minister) Lord Irvine stepped aside.

Reid replaces David Milburn, whose resignation to spend more time with his family, came as a surprise to political analysts.

Sky News reported that Lord Irvine’s position would be replaced with a “supreme court.” —AFP
