KARACHI, June 11: Mufti Munibur Rehman, Chairman of Ruet Hilal Committee, stressed the need for unity of Ummah and called upon Muslims to shun the divisive trends and mould their lives in accordance with the dictates of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

Speaking as chief guest at the Mehfil-i-Milad, organized by the Pakistan Herald Workers Union at Abdullah Haroon Muslim Gymkhana here on Wednesday, the Mufti said the life of the holy Prophet (PBUH) was a beacon for every human being.

He deplored that corruption had destroyed the social fibre of Muslim society.

A draw was held on the occasion to select four employees who would be sent to the Harmain Sharifain to perform Haj on company expenses.

The meeting was presided over by the PHWU President, Latif Baloch. Earlier, General Secretary of the union Shafiuddin Ashraf welcomed the chief guest.
