LAHORE, Dec 1: The third and last day of the rather well-attended Pantene Bridal Couture Week by Style 360 was held at the Faletti’s Hotel.

Kuki Concepts opened the first segment of the day defining this season’s wedding trends with banarsi, jamawar, kamkhwab, organza and lace among fabrics, with banarsi borders in his collection titled ‘Subh-i-Nau’ (The New Moon). It featured Turkish harem pants for men, jhoomar motif embellishments on elaborate bridals and lots of layering. The virgin white line featured diamantes and dabka work with sequins and pearls. The cuts were inspired by the West with a long front-open bridal coat and a long bubble skirt.

Umsha by Uzma Babar showcased the ‘Jhilmil’ collection, which was average and followed existing trends. A performance by Ahmed Ali Butt and his wife as showstoppers concluded the segment.

Next up, Shiraz Uppal performed a medley of his popular songs along with a dance troupe. Designer Aisha Imran followed with her tribute to deceased legendary singer Reshma and the line comprised an earthen base spruced up by jewel tones, candy colours, chunri with fine gota work and actress Resham as the showstopper wearing a resplendent ensemble. All this was showcased to Reshma’s lilting folk numbers, including the mesmerising Lambi Judai.

Rani Emaan’s somewhat lacklustre presentation featured showstoppers Shaista Lodhi, and brothers Asimyar and Qasimyar Tiwana.

After the break, Mehdi, Asifa & Nabeel with a collection inspired by the Indian maharajahs and maharanis called ‘Noor-i-Jahan’, a hair presentation by renowned stylist Nina Lotia and Samreen’s Closet took to the ramp. For the grand finale, HSY put up a great show with ‘Nightingale’, featuring separates that is the last of his previously shown collections and can be worn together with select earlier pieces.

The end result remained visually breathtaking. The hair and make-up was done by Saba Ansari and her team at Sabs Salon with choreography of the show by HSY.
