ISLAMABAD, June 7: The protest campaign of International Islamic University’s staff welfare association against the varsity administration entered fourth consecutive day on Saturday.

After the administration’s refusal to accept their demands — change in promotion rules and increase in medical and various other allowances — the executive body of the association, in an emergency meeting on Saturday, decided to give an ultimatum of four days to the former to accept its demands.

Speaking at the meeting, the association president, Haji Masood Ahmad, said the varsity administration’s attitude had been disappointing during the last four days. It is not ready to listen to the problems of the low-paid staff, hence, violating basic human rights on the campus, he added.
