Equal representaion

An estimated 40 models of African decent, most of them women, staged a protest in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday night, November sixth, demanding an increase in the presence and representation of black and indigenous models on the country's runways.The protest was organised by the NGO Educafro, and was timed to coincide with the Rio Fashion Week. Educafro is a civil rights group which champions the labor and educational rights of African origin and indigenous people in Brazil.
