SHIKARPUR, June 6: A token hunger strike was observed by some villagers of Saleem Shah deh, Garhi Yasin taluka, outside the Shikarpur Press Club here on Thursday to protest against the occupation of their land.

Abdullah Jatoi and his family members told journalists that their relative, Nisar Jatoi, had occupied their agricultural land situated in the deh after getting forged documents.

POWER BREAKDOWN: The consumers staged rallies in protest against frequent power breakdowns in Rustam, Garhi Yasin and Lakhi towns on Thursday.

The protesters threatened to launch a protest drive against Hesco if loadshedding and breakdowns were not stopped.
