RAWALPINDI, June 5: The judge of Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench, Justice Maulvi Anwarul Haq, who had restored the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board on Wednesday has changed his verdict and called both the parties for arguments in the third week of June.

He said the final judgment would be announced after hearing both the parties.

In the court order released on Thursday, Justice Anwarul Haq observed that the judgment had been announced on the basis of the precedents of the Supreme Court and High Court presented by the lawyer of the petitioner whereas the lawyer of the respondent was not present for arguments.

“After the announcement of the Wednesday judgment, the cantonment executive officer, Khawaja Iftikhar Mir, met me in my chamber and requested that the RCB point of view should also be heard.” the judge said in the order.

The case has, therefore, been delayed and would be heard in the third week of June, the order says.
