HARIPUR, June 5: The recently-upgraded district eyecare center began functioning here on Tuesday, officials said here on Thursday.
They said that the center had been provided modern equipment by a non-governmental organization named Fredhollows Foundation Australia.
In charge of the center’s eyecare programme Dr Aftab Jamal the center would save local patients a lot of trouble besides saving them money as earlier they had to go to other cities for treatment.—Correspondent
