LAHORE, Oct 24: The Karachi golf team will defend the title in the three-day National Inter-club Golf Championship being held at the Royal Palm Golf Club from Friday.

Vice captain of Royal Palm Club Sardar Murad Khan said on Thursday that major clubs of the country including Lahore Gymkhana, Lahore Garrison Golf and Country Club, Rawalpindi Golf Club, Islamabad Golf Club, PAF Peshawar Golf Club and the host Royal Palm Golf and Country Club had fielded two teams each comprising four players apiece.

He further said that every club of the country was eligible to send two teams with the titles at stake being Royal Palm Team Trophy, Net Challenge Shield, Gross Cup and Ladies Cup.

In all, around 150 golfers will vie for honours.
