PESHAWAR, Oct 11: The Radio Pakistan Peshawar centre will broadcast a new programme for listeners of Afghan Dari language from October 12 (Friday), said a press release.

Entitled Nawa-i-Dost, the 35-minute programme will be aired at 11.25pm on both medium waves of 300 kilowatt and short waves. In this connection a meeting, was held here on Thursday presided over by the director-general Radio Pakistan, Salim Gul Shaikh.

This new programme for Afghan Dari people was the need of the hour which will get practical shape from Friday, adds the press release. Radio Peshawar is also broadcasting Hindara programme in Pushto for Pushtoon community of Afghanistan.—APP
