ISLAMABAD, June 3: Pakistan on Tuesday reiterated the pledge to make all possible efforts to fight terrorism and continue its cooperation with its global partners.

The pledge was renewed during separate meetings of President Gen Pervez Musharraf and Interior Minister Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat with the chief of US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Robert Miller, and Ambassador Nancy Powell.

An FBI delegation headed by Mr Miller arrived here earlier on Tuesday for a one-day visit and called on both the president and interior minister, along with the US ambassador.

The interior minister told Dawn:”It is a routine visit to share different information.”

He said the delegation remained in his office for half-an-hour and lauded Pakistan’s efforts to fight terrorism. The meeting discussed the arrest of Al Qaeda leaders in Pakistan.

The FBI is providing technical assistance to the law enforcement agencies of Pakistan to unearth network of Al Qaeda in the country,.
