Sami signs for Kent

KARACHI, June 3: Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Sami has joined Kent’s second overseas player after signing a two-month contract with the English county.

Sami will replace former Australian batsman Greg Blewett after the end of the three-match NatWest Challenge series against England on June 22.

Blewett himself was a temporary replacement for fellow Aussie Andrew Symonds who was unavailable for the county because of the one-day series in the West Indies.

Blewett, however, will continue to play for Kent until the 22-year-old Sami is available.
