GUJRAT, Oct 11: The opposition parties have announced to challenge delimitation of union councils and the wards of the municipal committees done by the district government in Gujrat.

A meeting of local bodies experts belonging to the PML-Q was held at the Zahoor Elahi house where a strategy was chalked out to challenge the delimitation.

A meeting of the local JI leaders was held with the central leader Ameerul Azeem in the chair and it was decided to challenge the delimitation.

Sources said that a meeting of the local leaders of PPP, PTI, PML-Q and JI to discuss the next course of action would be held on Saturday. However, in the initial contacts made between these leaders, it was decided to challenge the delimitation.

A source told that all these parties were busy in preparing their own proposals of the delimitation and these proposals would be filed along with the written objections to the Gujrat DCO who was also the district delimitation officer.
