HYDERABAD, June 3: The director, Iran cultural center, Karachi, Jamsheed Khulqi, and the chief of the cultural department, foreign ministry of Iran, Mr Farhand, on Monday called on Sindh University vice-chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui.

They discussed ways and means to promote cultural and academic programmes and Persian language classes in the University of Sindh.

The Iran delegation told the VC that possible support was extended to universities where Persian classes were held. They said books and other material would be given to the university if it established a Persian chair.
