MANSEHRA, Dec 12: Five people of a family were killed and two others wounded over Karo-Kari in Pulra, some 35km from here, on Tuesday night, police source told Dawn on Wednesday.

Six armed people entered Aurangzeb’s house and killed him, his wife Mahnaz Bibi, daughter Sabbah, father Sher Zaman and nephew Junaid. His sister-in-law Naseem Bibi and nephew Sohail were wounded in the attack.

The injured were taken to the Mansehra Hospital from where they were referred to the Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad, in a serious condition.

The bodies were brought to the Pulra Civil Hospital and the DHQ Hospital for autopsy. After the post-mortem examinations, the bodies were handed over to their heirs.

The Pulra police have registered an FIR, but the alleged killers are still at large.

Aurangzeb, with his family, arrived to Pulra (Madsirry Bandy) a week ago to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with his parents.

Five years ago, Mahnaz Bibi allegedly eloped with him and settled down in Karachi. She married Aurangzeb after the cancellation of her first marriage contract with another man through a court in Karachi. Her former husband was said to have been at loggerheads with Aurangzeb and his family since then.
