Last week we reported that the dimpled doll Deepika Padukone has bagged a role in the seventh edition of the Hollywood film, The Fast and the Furious. Call it journalists’ curse (as in commentators’ curse in the cricketing parlance) she is no more in the project!

Why? Deepika P wasn’t able to meet the ‘date’ requirements. The producers of the franchise wanted her to be with the cast and crew in the month of September but the actress is busy shooting Bollywood rom-com Happy New Year with Shahrukh Khan in Dubai for the major part of September, not to mention some promotional events for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, Ram Leela.

No worries, Deepika P. There are plenty of fish in the Hollywood sea. Keep fishing.
