RAWALPINDI, Sept 5: Timely intervention of Islamabad police rescued a 13-year-old girl from being kidnapped by two police officials of mohafiz squad.

Police have booked both the policemen but could arrest only one as the other managed to escape, police said.

Earlier, the school girl was detained by the two cops in a flat near the Holy Family Hospital where they allegedly tried to rape her. However, girl’s screams caught the attention of the land lord who rescued the girl.

But again the two cops started following the girl while she was going home and tried to kidnap her in a taxi.

While the girl was being abducted by the two cops of Rawalpindi police in a taxi she saw the police officials of Islamabad Capital Territory.

Shumiala Perveen, the elder sister of the victim complained to the New Town police that she lived along with parents and younger sister Zahra aged 13 who was studying at a model school in sector I-9/4.

On Wednesday morning, her sister Zahra left for school but she did not return till the evening.

After their concern grew, the missing girl’s parents and elder sister started a search for her.

After failing to trace her they went to the Industrial Area police station to inquire about her sister where she was informed that they had captured a policeman while kidnapping the girl and later handed him over to the New Town police as he was posted there. However, his accomplice managed to escape.

After the girl was recovered, she narrated her ordeal that after leaving her home for school she went to a public park near the Holy Family Hospital along with her boyfriend.

She said while she was sitting along with the boy, the two policemen came and ordered the young boy to leave and took the young girl with them at a flat located near the HFH where they allegedly attempted to rape the girl.

Her screams caught the attention of the landlord of the building who rescued the girl.
