The War Prayer

Published August 22, 2013

THIS is with reference to Hammal Jan’s letter ‘The War Prayer’ (Aug 18). I agree with the writer. Be it Aamir Sohail’s infamous gesture to an Indian bowler after hitting successive boundaries, and getting out on the next ball in a Quarter Final in a World Cup match in India, or missing a “soldier’s boot” hitting the soil with the same force as of his ‘opponent’ was able to hit are constituents the mindsets need to be changed as soon as possible.

Poverty is increasing while ammunition is available freely to blood-suckers on both sides.

I say to my friends, if only tourists are allowed to move visa-free between Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, the tourism industry will contribute so much revenue to all these nations to reduce poverty levels. Think and act on it, please.
