Jami’s teaser

Published August 18, 2013

The teaser for video director Jami’s first feature film, Moor, has hit cinema halls and social media. Everybody is raving about it and justifiably so. It comes across as a well-shot film. Having said this, cinemagoers should hold their (expectation) horses. Given the kind of ineffective storytelling of some recently released Pakistani films (not to mention the tacky trailer for an upcoming film featuring a major TV actor) should make cine-lovers take every release with a pinch of salt, because at the end of the day, filmmaking is all about storytelling, which is no mean feat to achieve. Still, we hope that Jami’s film lives up to expectation and wows us all. For we desperately need it!
