KARACHI, Aug 7: Dr Fareeda Siddiqui, a former member of the National Assembly and younger sister of Maulana Shah Ahmed Noorani, died in a local hospital on Wednesday after a long illness. She was 76. She leaves two sons and a daughter.

Her funeral prayer will be held at Bait-ul-Rizwan, Clifton, after Zuhar prayers on Thursday. She will be buried in the Gizri graveyard.

Dr Fareeda was author of several religious books.—APP
