TOBA TEK SINGH, Aug 5: Chuttiana police detained four passengers of blast-hit Shalimar Express for interrogation on Monday.

Sources said the detained belonged to Sindh and were returning to their hometowns after a visit to Raiwind Tableeghi centre. Six of their fellows were among the injured.

A police official said the four had been detained for questioning.

Earlier, soon after the blast, Faisalabad RPO Javed Islam, Faisalabad DCO Najam Ahmad Shah, PML-N MNA Junaid Anwaar, ex district nazim Chaudhry Muhammad Ashfaq, Toba DCO Dr Farah Masood and Toba DPO Dr Asif Shahzad reached Chuttiana and examined the affected compartment and supervised the rescue work.

Punjab Law and Local Government Minister Rana Sanaullah visited the injured passengers in Toba DHQ Hospital.
