KARACHI, May 23: Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) on Friday picked 36 probable after trials to select left arm spinners for three months training and coaching.

A total of 122 boys mostly under-20 appeared in the trials conducted at TMC Ground in Federal “B” Area and were watched by Test left arm spinner Iqbal, Abdul Raquib, Agha Munawar Hussain, Amin Lakhani and Naeem Ahmed.

The selected 36 probable are advised to report at same ground on Monday at 7.00 a.m.

KCCA intends to pick around 20 most promising spinners to undergo training from former Test and first class cricketer.

These promising boys will be trained and groomed keeping in view the paucity and dying art of left arm spin bowling.

Following were picked after first round of trials:

Hasban Iqbal, Sher Zaman, Arshad Ali, Bilal Masood, Ali Nazamuddin, Qasier Iqbal, Muhammad Sadiq, Muhammad Afnan, Ahmed Raza, Tufail Ahmed, Afaq Ahmed, Muhammad Asif, Zeeshan Haider, Muhammad Bin Ahmed, S.M.Kamram, Muhammad Furqan, Zuhaib Alam, Din Muhammad, Ijlal Ahmed, Muhammad Azeem, Anis Shahzad, Samnan Sattar, Adnan Ahmed Sartaj, Anas Saleem , Abdul Khaliq, M.Irshad, Salman Qadir, M.Salman, Atif Zia, Hasnain Iqbal, Rehman Khan, Usman, Amir Azam, Aamir Shah, Danish, M.Wasim Ali.

UNDER-15 TRIALS

KCCA Zone 1V under -15 trials will be held on Saturday (today) at Pak Star Cricket Ground.

Chairman KCCA Zone 1V has directed all the players who was born after Sept 1, 1988, are eligible to participate in the trials and should report to Shaheen Malik.

Meanwhile all the affiliated and permitted clubs are advised to contact Office Secretary, KCCA Zone 1V Abdul Hamid for new two year registration at zone 1V head office in working days.—APP/PPI
