KARACHI: Taxi driver shot dead

KARACHI, May 23: A taxi driver was shot dead by armed men in Kalakot on Friday morning.

Police said that the driver, Taj Mohammad, was called out from his house, at the Gabol Road, by some unidentified men, who sprayed bullets at him and fled. He died on the spot.

His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi for postmortem examination, the police added.

SUICIDE: A man committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling in Joharabad on Friday morning.

Police said that Ali Akbar, 45, father of five children, was found hanging from ceiling fan in his apartment in Karim Plaza Block-7, F.B Area.

The police claimed that the deceased had suffered some financial loss in his business. His body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

ROBBED: A woman passenger, arriving from the United States, on Friday, lost her bag, containing some valuables, when she came out of the Jinnah Terminal.
