KARACHI, May 22: The aggrieved students of the Sindh Medical College, along with their parents, on Thursday staged a demonstration in front of the Chief Minister’s House, demanding restoration of their admissions and their right to take examination.
Over 40 students and their parents reached the CM House by bus. Holding placards condemning the belated action of challenging their admissions to MBBS classes, they were surrounded by a contingent of police, said an eye witness.
One of the students claimed that they were not allowed to meet any officials and were also beaten by police, and a few students suffered serious causalities.
Before dispersing the students handed over a memorandum to some lower staff for the chief minister, added the student.

The affected students whose admissions are likely to be scrapped by the authorities have announced that they will go on a hunger strike on Friday, if their grievances are not addressed soon.
