LAHORE, May 20: With the establishment of its parliamentary party in the National Assembly, the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy has claimed the right to nominate its leader of the opposition in the lower house of parliament.

ARD sources say that the ARD has 78 MNAs against less than 70 of the MMA.

Thus, they say, now the NA speaker will have to nominate an ARD man as leader of the opposition.

PPP’s Makhdoom Amin Faheem is expected to lead the opposition.
