NEWSPAPERS published supplements on (April 30) to honour the martyrs belonging to the armed forces. I am proud of our martyrs from the armed forces who sacrificed their lives while defending the country.

What I find missing is a nation sensitive enough to honour our fellow civilians who fall victim to terrorism every day and everywhere.

I consider their sacrifices and lifelong sufferings of their near and dear ones to be equally deserving of our gratitude and honour as a society.

As an example, just look at the way how conscientious societies honour those who are deprived of their lives as in the case of Boston bombings recently.
