DERA ISMAIL KHAN, May 18: Three women pickpockets were arrested here on Saturday after they deprived a shopkeeper of cash.

Nafeesuddin, a shopkeeper, informed the Rescue-15 that three women pickpockets had taken Rs2,780 from his pocket in Mohallah Kirri Alizai.

Police rushed to the spot, arrested the three women and recovered the shopkeeper’s money. The pickpockets were identified as Khurshid Bibi, Parveen and Mumtaz Begum— all residents of district Bhakkar.

ARMS SEIZED: Chaudhwan police arrested a man on suspicion and seized a hand-grenade, pistol and five cartridges from him.

The man was identified as Nasir, son of Juma Din.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead on Saturday over a minor dispute on the construction of a wall in Panyala area.

Atlas Khan, a resident of Wanda Karim Khan, was killed by Shah Behram, son of Sarfraz Kattakhel.

The accused fled after committing the crime.
