KARACHI, July 6: A judicial magistrate remanded on Saturday a former director general of the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution and a retired colonel to jail custody in a land scam case.

The then DG (investment) of the EOBI, Wahid Khursheed Kunwar, retired colonel Ali Asad Mirza and his daughter Maham Najeeb with their absconding accomplices have been booked for their involvement in the purchase of a four-acre disputed piece of land in 2011-12 near the airport causing huge financial losses to the national exchequer.
