KARACHI, May 17: Partly charred bodies of two youths were found at a derelict place in North Karachi.

The bodies, with their hands tied on their back, and strangled by a phone wire, were found on a vacant plot in Sector-2 in Khawaja Ajmer Nagri police limits.

Town police officer Ahmed Khan Jamali told Dawn that some people had dumped the bodies in the morning and set them on fire.

The area people noticed the fire when they were returning home after offering Fajr prayers. They informed the police, who reached the spot, extinguished the fire and shifted the bodies to a hospital.

Mr Jamali said the lower torso of the two had been burnt badly. However, their faces were still identifiable.

“We are looking for their relatives and once the identity of the two is established, the murder mystery can be resolved”, he added.
