LAHORE, May 16: A three-year-old boy was killed when the string of a stray kite cut his throat in Shamnagar, Chauburji, here on Friday.

Police said Shahid of Misri Shah along with his wife and son Faheem, 3, was on his way home on a motorcycle when the string of a stray kite cut the throat of Faheem. The boy was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His body was returned to the family without autopsy.

MURDER: A man was shot dead over an old enmity in Manawan on Friday.

Tufail had an old rivalry with Sheedo Bahrwala. His brother Saleem was going to visit a friend when Jamshid and Iftikhar of the rival party opened fire on him and escaped.

Saleem sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he died.

FOUND DEAD: The decomposed body of an unidentified man, around 30, was found in a rented room in Shahdara Town on Friday.

Niaz told the police that he had rented out the room to Boota. He said he rang up the police when he found an odd smell emitting from the room. When the police opened the door, Boota was found missing while the decomposed body of a man, unidentified so far, was lying on a cot.

The body has been sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.— Reporter
