The authorities concerned are requested to provide us public toilets in busy markets and other areas. It will be a step to keep the city clean.
For smooth running of the facility, a notice may also be put up there for users that they have to keep the toilet clean after using it.
Such toilets are not only to be provided in Karachi, but also in other cities of the country. This will keep the cities clean and hygienic.

Our cities grow so much that population of Karachi may surpass 1.8 million but when we paln development we do not think of sanitation or public toilets. We need business but we do not provide comfort of toilet. Shahi Bazaar Hyderabad is a long and narrow business street. It used to be very hard to hold natures call but some time just move in the side street do the job infront for passing men and women. What a shame. What about women? Now I am in the United States. The offices, buildings, even long distance buses are provided with comfort of toilet. When I need toilet, I think of my growing up in Pakistan with no tilet facilities and say thanks God, I am i n the USA. Thanks Mr M. Shafique Ahmed and Dawn for bringing this topic to attention of teh Government and the people.

Rightly said. Toilets are needed badly in the country. Women in particular and men in general are suffering. If human beings eat, they also need to use toilets. No government has ever paid any attention to this issue. This is a basic need. As roads are constructed, public toilets should also be build on the same priority. But again the problem of the lack of sufficient funds arises. If government does not have enough funds, then it can order the management of worship places to build neat and clean washrooms with the availability of water 24/7 for men and women both. On the call of the religious leader of the local worship place, people will fund sufficiently. Government does not need to allocate billions of rupees for this project. The thing it has to do is to order the management of every worship place to build toilets for men and women separately around the mosque within three months. The rest of the work is of the management.
I am ready to pay one thousand rupees each month for three months to the local worship place for this cause. What about you? Are you ready?
