Eid Miladun Nabi today

ISLAMABAD, May 14: Eid Milad-un-Nabi would be celebrated with solemnity and religious fervour throughout the country on Thursday.

Special prayers would be offered after Fajr prayers for the solidarity, prosperity and integrity of the country.

The highlight of the day would be a National Seerat Conference to be organized by the ministry of religious affairs in Islamabad. Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali would inaugurate the conference.

Ulema and scholars from the four provinces, including Azad Kashmir and Fata, would attend the moot and highlight various aspects of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

The theme of the conference will be “The New World Order and Responsibilities of the Muslim Ummah in the light of the Sunnat of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him)”.

Prizes will be distributed among winners of books on “Seerat-un-Nabi” written in Urdu besides the regional languages.

Seerat conferences and Mahafil-i-Milad would also be held at the provincial capitals and other major cities and towns. Milad procession will be taken out from various mosques.

The Radio Pakistan and the Pakistan Television would air special programmes on the occasion.—APP
