Three shot dead

KASUR, May 14: A man with the help of his accomplice shot dead his wife, brother-in-law, his son and injured three others on Wednesday over a family dispute at Ashraf village, Chunian.

Police said Shafqat alias Shaukat had married Azra Bibi some years ago. She was living with her parents these days after quarrelling with her husband. On Wednesday, Shaukat along with his accomplice came to the house of Liaquat Ali to bring his wife back. After exchanging heated arguments with him, he opened indiscriminate fire on the inmates. Consequently, Azra Bibi, Liaquat Ali and his son Abdur Razzaq died instantly while three others including Fauzia Bibi, the daughter of Liaquat, sustained serious bullet injuries. The injured were shifted to the THQ Hospital, Chunian.

Police have registered a case and are investigating. — Correspondent
