LARKANA, May 13: A police party from Hyderabad, headed by the ASP, raided the house of Muneer Shahani, district president of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), Larkana, and picked his brother, Ayaz Hussain, on not finding him there on Tuesday.

However, Ayaz was released after the DPO, Larkana, intervened.

When this correspondent contacted the ASP, City, Larkana, Mohammed Aalim Shinwari, he confirmed that the police, Hyderabad, had arrived there to arrest Muneer Shahani. However, he was not aware of the case in which Shahani was wanted.

Later, it was learnt that the Hyderabad police wanted to arrest Shahani in connection with the kidnapping of one Rehan Shaikh.

Shahani is presently admitted in the cardiology department of the Chandka Medical College in room No10, where ASI Arshad Leghari, Hyderabad police, has been deployed along with some policemen.—Correspondent
