HYDERABAD, May 11: A boy was found dead in mysterious circumstances in his house in Sachal Sarmast Colony, Husri police station jurisdiction, on Saturday.

The body of the boy, Javed Bihari, was taken to the civil hospital.

Marks of a rope could be seen around Bihari’s neck but his family refused to tell how he died.

Abdul Rahim, a friend of the deceased, said he was a worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement but a member of the MQM zonal committee, Shabbir Bajkani, said he was not an MQM worker. He said he died of suffocation as he used to wear a Taveez.

Meanwhile, three-year-old Jawad died after he fell into a manhole near the Maaji Hospital on Sunday.

His body was recovered from the manhole after three hours.
